Holiday Cheer in Athens
With Christmas just around the corner, there’s no shortage of holiday cheer here in Athens. From our family to yours, these are a few of our seasonal favorites:
November 11 – December 30
Deck the Walls: Handmade for the Holidays is back at The Lyndon House Arts Center. A seasonal shop, Deck the Walls sells original work by Athens-based artists, including painting, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, and more.
December 7 at 7:00 P.M.
Kick off the holiday season right at the Downtown Parade of Lights. This year’s theme is “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” Festivities will conclude with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony hosted by the one-and-only Santa Claus.
December 22 at 7:30 P.M. and December 23 at 2:00 P.M.
The State Ballet Theatre of Russia will present Tchaikovsky’s Christmas classic The Nutcracker at The Classic Center Theatre. From “The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” to “The Waltz of the Flowers,” this enchanting performance will delight adults and children of all ages.Read other posts
